KANSAS STATE FAIR ANKOLE-WATUSI SHOW Saturday, September 17, 11:00 am Assistant Superintendent: Vernon Base, Newton, KS (620) 367-8299 Please read the General State Fair Rules and Regulations at http://www.kansasstatefair.com/. Stall Reservation Form due August 15. Entries due by August 16, 2011. 1. All entries must meet the Kansas State Fair General Rules and Health Requirements. 2. A photocopy of registration papers must be sent in at the time of entry. Entries will be returned if this requirement is not met. Original registration papers must be available for inspection at the show. 3. All animals born before January 1, of the current year, must be registered in the name of the exhibitor in the Herdbook of an Ankole-Watusi registry to be eligible to show. Registration papers must be available to Association Representative upon arrival. 4. All animals shown must be 50% or more Ankole-Watusi blood, match the individual registration paper and be shown in their respective class divisions. 5. Classes will be shown in the class order listed. 6. Cattle should enter in gate #11 (Poplar Street), after going through the Livestock Vet Check (Severance Street). 7. There must be more than one exhibitor in a class to pay more than one premium placing. ENTRY FEES All entries in a class must be certified by State Fair personnel prior to animal being shown in that class. Failure to complete this action prior to show will result in non-certification of entry and nonpayment of premium. If exhibitor is qualified or scratches, entry fees are waived. Entry Fee (per entry) $15.00 Entry fees, less office fee ($5 per class) will be added to premium money. TULSA STATE FAIR ANKOLE-WATUSI SHOW September 30 - October 2, 2011 Superintendent: Brian & Cindy Sims, Seminole, OK, (405)200-6339 or (405) 382-1173 Begin Arrival: Wednesday, September 28, noon. In Place By: Friday, September 30, noon. Judging: Saturday, October 1, 2:00 p.m. in the Expedition Arena. Begin Release: Staged Release on Sunday, October 2. All Out: Sunday, October 2, 10:00 p.m. SPECIAL RULES 1. The Ankole-Watusi International Registry will pay 20% of the liability premiums. All premiums will be paid by the Tulsa State Fair. 2. All animals born prior to January 1, of the current year must be registered in the name of the exhibitor in the herd book of an Ankole-Watusi registry to be eligible to show. Registration papers must be presented to the Superintendent upon arrival. 3. All animals shown must be 50% or more Ankole-Watusi blood, match the individual registration papers and be shown in their respective class divisions. 4. Classes will be shown in class order listed. 5. Animals entered and shown in these classes may have horn polishes but NO horn sharpening, grooming or other fitting permitted. 6. Animals shown in these classes will be subject to blood testing for any tranquilizing agents or other substances administered. Any animals testing positive for drugs will be immediately disqualified for premium awards. 7. Animals will be unhaltered in all classes except showmanship. 8. All animals must be manageable enough to be moved from pen to show ring. Any unmanageable or unruly animals may be expelled from the show with premiums forfeited. 9. If only one animal is entered in a class, that entry may be moved to the next closest age class. 10. No class will have more than eight entries in a class. Any class with more than 8 will be split into two smaller classes by age and be paid premiums as listed in the premium schedule. There are no other shows scheduled for 2011. |
